Despite being hit by the financial tsunami and global downturn, Hong Kong’s economy is still resilient and resumed 2.6% growth in GDP in the fourth quarter of 2009 after four straight quarters of negative growth.  The economy of Hong Kong is forecast to have a 4-5% growth in 2010, and Hong Kong remains as a springboard to the huge Mainland Chinese market. Miss Sarah Wu, Director-General of Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, London, together with her colleagues from London will share with the audience latest developments of Hong Kong, how its sound fundamentals and ties with the Mainland China have contributed to its strong rebound and have made it a place of opportunities for businesses worldwide.

The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in London is the official representative of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government in nine European countries including Lithuania, and is responsible for promoting the bilateral economic and trade relationship between Hong Kong and these countries. Representatives from the following trade and investment promotion agencies will also participate and introduce the services they can provide to enterprises interested in doing business in or with Hong Kong:
